BIOGRAPHY
With over 20 years of actual in-court experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout the country, Alexander Schwartz has broad experience to draw upon to benefit his clients. He has taught law at the University of Connecticut Law School, worked as a Public Defender in New York City, and then moved into private practice in large Connecticut and New York City law firms. Mr. Schwartz successfully defended hundreds of individuals accused of crimes such as drug possession, DUI, homicide, burglary and sexual assault. Mr. Schwartz knows the tactics the government uses and he uses that knowledge to secure the rights and interests of people who have been charged with committing a crime.

As a former Public Defender, Alexander Schwartz has extensive experience defending the rights of people accused and arrested by state and federal governments for criminal offenses. He handles all types of criminal cases, including minor infractions, driving under the influence and misdemeanors, to the most serious felonies such as homicide, drug possession, narcotics sales, theft, white collar fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, sexual assault, arson, and conspiracy.
